MISSION STATEMENTThis project is for all who love London and all who love photography. As well as guaranteeing that they are the authors of the photograph(s), we wish contributors to be honest about when and where the photos are taken. These days the guarantees of that are much harder, since the digital camera can lie. But if there is the love and the feeling then the contributions hopefully will be real - real documents of London in 1999. Ideally we would like to know the location of the photograph and the day and time it was taken. It's not always easy and we will try and make provisions for this especially with regard to the accuracy of the hour. We must favour photos with location and time and date however. We have to emphasize the documentary aspect of this collective endeavour.We will consider all photographs taken on the day they have been stated to have been taken at the location they have been stated to have been taken within 48 hours. We can not include all photos submitted for inclusion. Also some photos may replace others within the 48 hour time span. All photos however will be sent to the United Kingdom Photo Archive. This is meant to be a photo document with the emphasis on LONDON (whatever that means). For now it means PLACES AND SPACES FIRST. FACES SECOND. A good photograph is a good photograph, and will be included if the picture editor of the day or month so chooses but the desire is to capture London wihtout invading people's privacy.
